Océan de Vies : Marine biodiversity

In 2010, from April, Oceanopolis inaugurates its new exhibition dedicated to marine biodiversity. Displayed through a 700 m² area, this new exhibition will illustrate in a very attractive and interactive way the wonders of marine biodiversity in its most diverse aspects. It is programmed for two years.
Prsented as a journey across the world's oceans involving spectacular reconstructions and pictures, it allows visitors to discover both plant and animal richness. It also displays the original character of marin ecosystems, cosidering the links of theses complex environments from the inside as welle as between each other.

Polar Pavilion

And its new exhibit : Inuit people and marine mammals, 4000 years of cohabitation.

Experience a journey to the heart of the poles !

Discover the largest penguin colony in Europe and a real pack ice with seals from the Great North. Experience a stunning 20 min. panoramic film that takes you to the heart of the Antartic.

Tropical Pavilion

And the Red Sea area : children only !

Sail to the warmest seas on earth !

Experience a close encounter with our 7 species of sharks. A 13 metre-long caral reef barrier, made of living reef will amaze you before you discover our luxuriant rain forest.

Temperate Pavilion

And its new exhibit : venomous animals of our coast.

Dive off Britanny's coasts to discover an amazingly rich flora and fauna. You will enjoy the seals'feeding. Here you can touch the animals in the seawater "touchpool"!
